Course Overview
The Sharp Shoers course is our most elite package, designed for those who aspire to design and make an exceptional, meticulously detailed shoe. This course caters to perfectionists, designers, and enthusiastic makers who are passionate about creating footwear that stands out. With a focus on prototyping, refining, and perfecting your design, you will achieve a quality seal of approval.
The course consists of a minimum of 13 to a maximum of 15 guided sessions, and participants will have full access to our atelier for three months, allowing you to work independently on your shoe project whenever the atelier is open. You will prototype and refine your designs until they are just right, using advanced techniques and our most precious materials. During the course, you will have the opportunity to design and 3D print your own heels, use a vegetable-tanned welt, and embellish your finished shoe with a gold-plated BX logo motif. Each student is encouraged to develop their own unique design, which will be discussed beforehand to ensure a high likelihood of completion. Begin the course with an image board, sent in advance, showcasing your intentions, shoe size measurements, preferred colours, and materials.
Lessons are tailored to your specific design, but common tips will be shared with the other two participants in your group. You’ll learn by doing, with each step demonstrated by the tutor before you try it yourself. This course is ideal for those already in the design world who wish to delve into shoemaking. The course is intended for highly motivated and enthusiastic attendees and throughout the process you’ll be amazed at what you can learn and achieve.
Our experience in conducting such classes ensures that challenges are anticipated and addressed, providing a perfect learning experience for each participant. Beginners are welcome, and professionals are encouraged to join and hone this artisan skill. This course has a 6-month expiration from the date of purchase. You can start any time between October and April, with no lessons held from July through September.
